Summer 2017 Kicks Off Another Summer Tracks Concert Series in Tryon!

What is Summer Tracks? It’s an annual free summer concert series of talented local musicians representing a wide variety of unique genres. With over 2,000 visitors a summer, it’s one of the town’s largest events!

Don’t Miss the Summer Tracks at Rogers Park!

Starting June 2, head to Rogers Park Amphitheater in Downtowlocal musicians performing in tryonn Tryon (or across the street to the Tryon Fire Department, if it’s raining) from 7–10pm for some truly outstanding performances.

Who’s In the Concert Lineup?

Here’s who’ll be entertaining guests with great music in this year’s concert series:

June 2: Tellico – Featuring Bluegrass and Americana styles.

June 16: Scoot Pittman Band – Featuring Americana-rock-funk.

July 7: The Paper Crowns Band – Six-piece band featuring Appalachian folk and bluegrass, as well as rock, delta blues, and outlaw country.

July 21: Even Cowgirls Get the Blues – Three female vocalists with a 6-piece backing band reproducing the music of Emmylou Harris, Rosanne Cash, and Lucinda Williams.

August 18: Seth Walker – Featuring blues and swing that’ll make you want to get up and dance.

It’s not just about the music! Summer Tracks also features the outstanding local eats of Manna Cabana, whose claim to fame isn’t just their fresh and healthy menu… it’s also their homemade ice cream!

The Tryon Concert Series

string musiciansInterested in a more formal evening show? Catch a performance of the Tryon Concert Series, held at the Tryon Concert Association Concert Venue throughout the year. This is the Series’ 63rd season running! These concerts feature local artists of amazing instrumental and vocal talents that include strings, winds, a capella, and a variety of other classical genres. The 2017–2018 season features artists such as Montrose Trio string trio, Calmus a capella group, Windsync chamber musicians with revitalized classical, and Stephen Hough on piano. And favorite TGIF Concerts offer a more informal Friday evening setting to kick off the weekend.
