Tryon residents love spending plenty of time outdoors, and we can’t say that we blame them. If you want to explore like a local, we recommend touring the area’s stunning parks and trails. Pearson’s Falls, Shunkawauken Falls, and Norman Wilder Forest are just a few favorites.
Love to fish or spend time on the lake? This community is also located less than 15 minutes from Lake Lanier and a half hour from Lake Lure.

Downtown Tryon is steeped in rich history and culture, which makes it a can’t-miss destination for any visitor. Just head to Trade Street to uncover some of the area’s best shops, restaurants, and attractions—you won’t be disappointed!
If you want to learn a little more about the local art scene, be sure to check out Trade Street’s top venues. There’s always an exciting exhibition happening at Tryon Painters & Sculptors, and the Tryon Little Theater features tons of productions year-round.
Tons of exciting activities
Even if you don’t love the outdoors, Tryon probably offers something that will pique your interest. In fact, this little mountain town is filled with exciting activities for visitors of all ages.
